Pastor Doug Bauman

Pastor Bauman is a native of Nebraska. He
graduated from Concordia University in Seward, Nebraska and
Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has
served as pastor of St. Paul since June 2002.

Cheryl is our
Director of Christian Education and works with youth, children
and families here at St. Paul. She graduated from Concordia
University, Chicago in 2002 and has been serving St. Paul
since October 2003. |

Childhood Director and has over 40 years of experience as a
Lutheran school teacher.

Karen
Kruger
Karen
is a
graduate of
Concordia
University,
Chicago
where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education.
She has over 35 years of experience teaching
preschoolers to junior high students in
Nebraska,
Illinois,
and
Indiana.
Karen is married to Richard, who is a retired teacher
from St. Peter’s
Lutheran
School,
and together they have a daughter, Amanda.
They are active members of
St. Paul
Lutheran
Church
where Karen has served as a teacher in Sunday School, Day Camp
and the Hispanic Ministry.
Karen has been teaching preschool at
St. Paul
since 1992.

Sally Haak
Sally
is a
graduate of
Concordia
University,
Chicago
where she earned a double major in elementary education and
early childhood education.
In addition, she received a minor in theology.
Since then, Sally has taught preschool for eleven
years, ten of which were in Lutheran schools, before taking
time out to be a stay-at-home mom for her two children.
She returned to the classroom in December 2007 as an
assistant to Mrs. Behmlander.
Sally has also taught preschool and kindergarten Sunday
School classes at
St. Paul
as well as Sunday School for the Hispanic Ministry.

Christine Behmlander
Chris
is a
graduate of
Concordia
University,
Ann Arbor
where she earned her bachelor’s degree in education. She has
continued her studies through graduate courses at
Eastern
Michigan
and
Valparaiso
Universities.
Chris has more than 20 years of experience teaching in
Lutheran schools and has served
St. Paul
since 2007. As
the wife of a Lutheran school principal, her family has always
been very involved in church life.
Her experiences include serving as a Sunday School
teacher,
Vacation
Bible
School
director, Women’s Bible Study leader and Youth Board member.

Gayla Alesandro
Gayla is a
lifetime member of
St. Paul
Lutheran
Church
and has been with the Preschool as a teacher’s assistant since
1996. She enjoys
working with children one on one, especially during arts and
crafts activities.
She and her husband, Mike, enjoy gardening and taking
care of their pets.

Renee Abraham
Renee
is a graduate of
Century
College
in
White Bear
Lake,
Minnesota
with a technical certificate in medical assisting and worked
as a Certified Medical Assistant for nine years.
She was born and raised in Minnesota and has spent time
living in Wisconsin as well as Columbus where she currently
resides with her husband Gerry and three children Ariana,
Jenna, and Jayce.
Renee is an active member of St. Peter’s Lutheran
Church-Columbus and she has been on staff at
St. Paul
since December 2007 as a Teacher’s Assistant.
